Staying in unity
SCRIPTURE
Ephesians 4:2-3 NLT Always be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other’s faults because of your love. Make every effort to keep yourselves united in the Spirit, binding yourselves together with peace.
NUGGET
Years ago, someone really disappointed me. I kept thinking about it until my disappointment turned into offense. I had allowed it to swell up on the inside. I was about to confront them with my anger in the hopes they would not repeat the offense. But then I read Eph. 4. I was convicted at once and God gave me a new objective. While I knew I still had to be truthful with this person, I also knew it was paramount for me to keep the peace and be humble. After all, it’s not like I’ve never disappointed anyone before. Being humble and patient with others helps keep us in unity.

Father, thank You for Your word that pierces my heart and reveals truth to me. Help me to remain humble and patient before You and with my brothers and sisters in Christ. In Jesus name, Amen.
