Consuming Imaginations

SCRIPTURE
Isaiah 26:3 TPT Perfect, absolute peace surrounds those whose imaginations are consumed with you; they confidently trust in you.

NUGGET
Our problems can keep us from experiencing peace if our thinking about them crosses over into worry, anxiety and fear. It happens easily and we’ve all done it. Our imaginations run wild with the “what if” scenarios we play out in our minds when we can’t see the outcome. But what if our imaginations were consumed with God’s ability to solve our problems, with His great love and compassion for us, and with His nearness to us? Peace is ours for the taking when we turn our thoughts to Him and fully rely on, and trust in Him.

ACTIVATION
Is there anything you’re worried about today? Let your imagination run wild with thoughts of His goodness and provision for you. Find and memorize a scripture that comforts you and say it out loud several times today. Here are a couple of verses to look up: Romans 8:28; Matthew 6:25-34; Ephesians 3:20; Isaiah 41:9-10.

PRAYER
Father, sometimes I find myself worrying about my problems instead of simply trusting You with the answers. Lord, I lay down this burden right now and ask You to help me keep my thoughts focused on You. I thank You, Lord, for Your goodness and faithfulness to me.
