Talent

SCRIPTURE
Matthew 25:14-15 NIV It will be like a man going on a journey, who called his servants and entrusted his wealth to them. To one he gave five bags of gold, to another two bags, and to another one bag,] each according to his ability. Then he went on his journey.

NUGGET
Jesus compares the Kingdom of Heaven to a man who gave gold (talent, ability and resources) to servants. He did not give them equally, and wasn’t concerned about it. He was concerned that they put it to use. I know I catch myself in the comparison game. I compare my accomplishments to others and it creates jealousy. God has given each of us a measure of talent and faith. It is not the same for all, and that is okay. God is not concerned that we accomplish more than the others, instead, He wants us to use what He’s given. There is tremendous value in discovering our lane and learning to thrive in it. God rewards that!

ACTIVATION
What has God given you in passion and talent? Instead of scrolling through social media today, take time to develop what God has given you. Is it something creative? Then go and create something. Let the Lord guide you into action.

PRAYER
Jesus thank You for creating, calling and gifting me. Give me courage to not take the easy road of comparison, but strength to walk the path You have for me. Amen.
