Simple Trust

SCRIPTURE
Psalm 93:5 AMPC Your testimonies are very sure; holiness [apparent in separation from sin, with simple trust and hearty obedience] is becoming to Your house, O Lord, forever.

NUGGET
I was caught by the words “simple trust” and “hearty obedience” when I read this verse this morning. Holiness always seems so lofty and unattainable…and it is without the blood of Jesus. But now as children and saints, we are robed in His righteousness. So what do we do when we sin after we’re saved? Return to simple trust and hearty obedience. We don’t have to wallow or self-loath. Come receive and re-apply what Jesus has already done for us. Return to simple trust.

ACTIVATION
Close your eyes and imagine Jesus re-applying, anointing your whole self with His precious, perfect blood. You are clean, restored, and made new. Now live like it and enjoy it!

PRAYER
Jesus, thank You for Your blood. For washing me white as snow, for clothing me in Your righteousness. Remind me today to live into the robes I am wearing. Thank You for Your sacrifice and forgiveness. I put on simple trust and hearty obedience today.
