The Draw-Near Promise
SCRIPTURE
James 4:8a ESV Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you.
NUGGET
The very act or decision to turn toward God comes with a promise. When you choose to draw near, God promises to respond to your choice. Every time. You never need to wonder if God is going to show up. He said He would. So He will.
ACTIVATION
Take 10 minutes and center your thoughts on the Holy Spirit. Then begin to take note of your inner thoughts. God will speak, so be sure to write down what He says. Bring your concerns to God, ask Him questions, and be prepared for a response!
PRAYER
Holy Spirit, I want to hear and receive Your counsel. Speak to me today. I turn my thoughts toward You, and I thank You in advance for the way You are going to respond and draw close to me today.
