For Vs. With

SCRIPTURE
John 16:33 NLT I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.

NUGGET
God has done so much “for” us. He has already overcome the world (without our help.) The Word also says that apart from Him we can do nothing, but with Him nothing is impossible (John 15:5, Luke 1:37). We don’t really do things for God, we do them with Him! Because He is in us, we are empowered to do the impossible. If you’re feeling weary today, remind yourself that you don’t have to do things for God. Instead, enjoy the invitation to do things with Him.

ACTIVATION
Write the word “with” on your arm today. When you feel the pressure to do things for God, pause and remind yourself that you get to do things with Him.

PRAYER
Holy Spirit, I plug into Your power and strength today. I am grateful that we get to do good things and “God” things together. Give me a with mindset, and remind me today how much You have already accomplished for me.
