Beautiful Gifts

SCRIPTURE
Eph. 4:29 TPT And never let ugly or hateful words come from your mouth, but
instead let your words become beautiful gifts that encourage others; do this by
speaking words of grace to help them.

NUGGET
Our words are hard to control. We often speak without thinking. And yet, words
are powerful. They can create and destroy. God created the universe with His
words. A parent can wreck the confidence of a child with degrading words, while
a small kind word can completely turn someone’s day around. Let’s take a
moment to think before we speak so that we give “beautiful gifts” that help
people.

ACTIVATION
As you go through the day today, ask these questions of yourself before you
speak: What do I want to say? Why do I want to say it? Is what I’m about to say
“beautiful” and will it help someone else?

PRAYER
Father, please help me to be mindful of my words and the purpose behind them.
I ask you to give me beautiful words that encourage those around me today!
