God's Character
SCRIPTURE
John 10:10 NLT “The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.”
NUGGET
God is good. There are times in our life when it may feel like God is distant or He’s ignoring the trials we’re walking through. The truth is however, that the enemy would love nothing more than to cause distrust in our hearts towards God’s character. When you sense those kinds of thoughts closing in, know that God is close and His purpose is to restore and redeem our lives...even when we don’t understand how He’s working!
ACTIVATION
When you find yourself questioning God’s intentions towards you, take a moment to be honest with yourself and with the Lord. Admit your hurt and ask the Lord to meet you in that place. Begin to write down 5 things you’re thankful for and take a moment to acknowledge those good gifts from God.
PRAYER
Jesus thank You that You are working and moving even in the unseen. Remind me that You are close and Your intentions towards me are always good!! When I feel like You’re distant, help me to sense Your presence and love towards me in an extra special way.
