A Great Calm
SCRIPTURE
Mark 4:37-39 KJV "And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full....and [Jesus] arose, and rebuked the wind and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased and there was a great calm."
NUGGET
What strikes me about this passage is that it wasn't just calm. It was a GREAT calm that Jesus commanded. It wasn’t just less windy. There was “a perfect peacefulness," (AMP). God doesn't want you to just get by in the hard times. He wants to fully sustain and deliver you.
ACTIVATION
The disciples went to Jesus and asked for His help. Go to God with the great storm in your life and watch and wait for Him to come through for you in grand fashion! Read Mark 8:22-25 to see how Jesus wasn't satisfied with the blind man "just getting by."
PRAYER
Father, this storm is bigger than anything I can control but I know it's not bigger than You. I put my trust in You to sustain and deliver me in ways that are greater than I can imagine. Thank You for Your faithfulness and for always being with me!
